At what Age can babies get chicken pox?

At what Age can babies get chicken pox?And what are they symptoms?

Answer by cobramommy
Any age. It is extremely dangerous in very young babies and immunocompromised babies ie premature, cancer, etc. Babies and pregnant women should not be around suspected or known cases of chicken pox.

Mine was 2 years old when she got the chicken pox and it was just one spot and that was it.

When I was a baby, I had just one spot also.

But when they get the chicken pox, they can get it at any age.

babies can get them at any age, but they start getting immunized for them at 6 months because chicken pox have become so dangerous for anyone to have. If your baby has had the shot for it more than likely the baby won't get them. My kids have never had them not even a little break out with the shot. It will start out by giving them a fever and then red rash bumps start popping out, most of the time it looks like hives or diaper rash all over the body but sometimes they can look like mosquito bites. It will cover the whole body though, and they can break open and ooze. It's really very nasty. If you think your child has them take the baby to the doctor to get prescribed something since it's the weekend you can cut down misery by giving baby baking soda bath and putting calamine lotion all over. This is safe even if it's not chicken pox.
