Possible pregnancy and varicella?Okay, I have another situation!! I'm worried that I may be pregnant, although it's too soon to tell as of yet. Anyways, I've never had chicken pox and have never been vaccinated. Now I'm freaking out because I've been trying so hard to get pregnant and never thought about this stupid chickenpox vaccine beforehand, and I'm already considered high-risk because of my diabetes and paternal heart issues. I'm losing my mind!! I am so scared...what can they do if I end up pregnant in regards to assuring I don't get chickenpox. I work in a pediatric clinic and I'm worried sick. Should I quit my job if I get pregnant? Can I get vaccinated? Please help!!

slow down...take one step at a time. First thing is to find out if your pregnant and if so start seeing an OBGYN right away. Talk to him/her about your concerns and health issues...they will direct you down the right path.

I would talk to your obgyn!
Get the facts on the chickenpox vaccine, treatment, causes (varicella zoster virus, VZV), symptoms and signs (itchy, red rash).
