Cold soars, shingles and chick pox.?Me and my Girlfriend participated in oral sex. During this time I was unaware I had a cold soar on my lip. I had chickenpox as a kid and have been getting cold soars about once a year since I was 9. My girlfriend had chickenpox and shingles as a kid. About 3 days ago (6 days after we had oral sex) she had an outbreak around her vaginal area. I know the chickenpox and shingles have chance of herpes. I was just looking for some info on what it could be and what should we do. Have already made doctors appointment but its not for another 3 days. If questions not clear for you its. Additional info -- We were both virgins and had no prior sexual contact. So its nothing from anyone else.

You can spread oral herpes (cold sores) to the genital area. It sounds like she now has a herpes outbreak. Generally she would be treated with an antiviral medication within 1-2 days of having an outbreak or may be put on a suppressive (daily) therapy to avoid outbreaks. You guys should use condoms, though, since she can now spread it to you in the genital area.

it a herpes outbreak. herpes love moist places and those place are the mouth and the area all i can say is take the topical and hope for less breakouts
