Going to get my son chicken pox shot but problem is I am pregnant? My son is 15 months old he is going get chicken pox shot in 3 weeks but I wasn't sure if it's safe while I am pregnant when he get the chicken pox shot? His ped doctor said it's safe if he get chicken pox shot while I am pregnant, I wasn't sure but is it safe or not safe? I need to know before he get it.
And most people said it's not safe while I am pregnant, but his doctor said it's safe? I am confused.

he is getting the shot not you so yes it is safe as long as you had the chicken pox. what happens is that either he will get the chicken poxs from it or just like the other shots he wont. if he does he can pass them on. if you had them already then your body will kill it and you will be fine along with #2.

As long as you have had chicken pox, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. When I was pregnant with my second baby, I had my older daughter at the doctor and a child in the waiting room had chicken pox. When I found out, I freaked. Anyway, I was told that as long as I had had them everything was fine, so you know that the shot would be less risky than being around the actual illness.

Have YOU ever had chicken pox?

Why not wait a few months? There is no big deal if you wait a bit.
The problem with you being exposed is during the first trimester. You are past that if you are due in March. But, just to be safe, wait until about a month before your due date.
