i got the meningitis vaccine yesterday along with a few other shots why are my arms so achey???i got the meningitis vaccine, chicken pox booster, and tetanus booster, why are my arms achey after these are put in?? it's not a horrible pain but my arms are sore.

Answer by JM
it's very typical after any shot to be sore because they're injecting a needle and pushing fluid into your arm!

my arm hurt after the meningitis vaccine too,
you might feel this way for a good few days.
I wouldn't worry about it too much, but if the pain continues for longer than a week,
i'd go see your doctor.

because you just muscled alot of fluid, it will be a little tender for a few days. Totally normal. If it swells or really starts to hurt see a Dr. If it was interveinous, it would just flow through your blood stream, but most vaccines are done in a muscle, where the fluid just pools and then slowly absorbs.

Because most medications made for injection are also mixed with a form of alcohol in order to dissolve the medication in order to make it an injection medication. The pain will subside but the pain is very typical.

I had the same - especially after the tetanus, omg! lol. the nurse told me that the injection sometimes bruises your muscle, but it'll go away soon. If it doesn't though you should see the doctor, but more often than not it's perfectly fine

Me Getting 3 Shots

I hate shots. :( Had to get a tetanus booster, chicken pox, and meningitis shot. Finally got this over with, after 2 months. :D My first video too. Suckish, and not entertaining, but I find it fun to watch. XD
