mothers of children who have had chicken pox vaccine and chicken pox?

mothers of children who have had chicken pox vaccine and chicken pox?If your child has been vaccinated for chicken pox and then got chicken pox were there symptoms less severe? My cousins child who is 4 has chicken pox and was vaccinated and his cousin who is 6 and vaccinated recently contracted it? My cousin the mother of the 4 year old who is 6 months pregnant has them too.Just wondering how they are after a vaccine? I of course was not vaccinated and remember having them at age 7 and it was horrible.

Both my children had the chicken pox vaccination. So far it has worked and they have not caught them. But I would believe they would be less severe. I to had the chicken pox when I was little. It was horrible. I do remember the doctor told my parents to keep me dressed real warmly (I had mine right at the beginning of summer) so they would break out more. Because the virus lies dormant in your body. Years later if it doesn't break out enough you may get shingles another form of the virus which I hear is very painful. My Dad had it a few years back. According to this website link it says 95% less severe. It also tells all about chicken pox, and shingles. Also shows picures of the chicken pox. Hope this helps.

Both of my children contracted chicken pox even though they had the vaccine. Their outbreaks were SO much less severe than mine were (I didn't have the vaccine). Their cases were so mild that they weren't even bothered by the dozen (or less) bumps they got.
