Can a nursing baby get chickenpox?


Can a nursing baby get chickenpox?My 6 year old daughter was exposed to chicken pox. My baby is 13 months and nursing 5 times a day still. Can she catch chicken pox or does she still get immunity from me?

Yes she can get chickenpox!! It is highly contagious to those who have not had the virus or the vaccine.

My daughter got them when she was only two months old and I was nursing her.
