Chicken pox quarantine question - if I bring a newborn home what do I need to clean?

Chicken pox quarantine question - if I bring a newborn home what do I need to clean? My osn has chicken pox and I am due iminently - what should I clean before babies come home ? what precautions?

I know I need to wait until he has the last pox crust over to come home with babies - but need to kow what I should be cleaning and how.

Do I need to wash our sheets on 90 degrees C?

Should I disinfect all his toys?

Should I spray all fabric surfaces I cannot wash with the detol (kills 99.9% of germs) fabric discinfectant?
Oh dear, how uninformed you are. No my IQ is incredibly high but thank you for asking. You only die of chicken pox in childbirth if you do not have antibodies against it. Antibodies are acquired from having a pox illness - either asymptomatically or symptomatically. I had chicken pox as a child and therefore have immunity.

My babies will acquire some of my immunity from having shared my blood, and also.fro having been breastfed - if I am able. So appologise that is very rude.
Durr... you cannot catch shingles. Shingles occurs when your immunity drops to a level whereby any dormant pox virus is able to re-emerge. Game set match to me...

Apologise.
Actually, don't worry I don't need an apology. I sense that you are just projecting your anger and resentment about what happened to yrou friend onto me. I don't need or want your negativity so I'll leave it. Take care! x

You don't need to disinfect anything. You don't catch chicken pox from inanimate objects.

Has your IQ dropped sharply while pregnant? You're not asking these questions of a Dr why? I had a good friend die in child birth b/c of chicken pox. Have a chat with your Dr..

Edit: "I had chicken pox as a child and therefore have immunity." I see... so then shingles must be a myth. You've just told me there are no further possible consequences after you've acquired "immunity". What was that you were saying about your IQ?

Once your son is clear then there is nothing else to worry about. Having said that I would suggest you speak to your doctor about this to put your mind at rest.
