chicken pox???my friend has a rash and was wondering if that was one of the first symtoms of the chicken pox?also the rash spread farther throughout her body last night and she wants to know whats the second symtom and how long will it take before it comes

They become itchy and she gets the fever

If she is above elementry school age then the only form of chicken pox is shingles which is much more serious and has actually been know to make people go blind. I could think of a couple of other things it could be that would be more likely. Has she switched laundry detergents, deoderants, or soaps? Has she been in a hot tub? Has she been over to a house that wasn't sanitary? Is she stressed out? Please tell her to see a doctor because there are too many different things it could be. Better yet (for now) go on to Webmd.com and check out the symptom checker. This should help her figure it out until she does go to the doctor.

when I had this it started as little tiny clear blisters that spread and kept getting bigger, then changed color. there should be chicken pox pictures on the internet, it isn't really a rash, just a lot of blisters. if she does indeed have chicken pox, she MUST stay out of the sun at all costs, because any exposure to sunlight will make it worse.
Get the facts on the chickenpox vaccine, treatment, causes (varicella zoster virus, VZV), symptoms and signs (itchy, red rash).
