Chicken Pox?Last week my 4 year old daughter had a fever, sore throat, and headache. On Sunday she developed a couple of spots on her face the looked like little pimples but are starting to look more like chicken pox. She has had the vaccine and I have sent her to church and school this week. Tonight she is gettting a couple more spots. Has anyone else had thier children get the chicken pox after having the vaccine?

It sure does sound like she has chicken pox. There are some people that don't develop a resistance after the vaccine, just like there are rare people who get chicken pox twice, even though that is rare.
I'm betting a few more people are going to come down with chicken pox because it's contagious from the very start, even before you see the pox.
Most pediatrician's don't want you to bring the kid into the office, but I would call in the morning and ask for suggestions. :)

Although your daughter had the vaccine, there is a possibility that she indeed has the chicken pox just not full blown. This is common because remember the vaccine is only about 10 years old. Your daughter should stay out of school right now so that she doesn't infect anyone else. In the meantime, she could have a mild outbreak. Just call in the AM and keep her comfortable with Calamine lotion and oatmeal baths if she gets itchy.
Get the facts on the chickenpox vaccine, treatment, causes (varicella zoster virus, VZV), symptoms and signs (itchy, red rash).
