Bathe in cool to lukewarm water to relieve itching.
Use cool compresses to help relieve itching.
Purchase commercial oatmeal bath packets. Follow package directions, or medical providers instructions, when using.
Pat dry, do not rub, the body when toweling off after bathing.
Purchase Calamine lotion and apply to affected areas.
Use acetaminophen to help relieve pain of mouth blisters, if recommended by your doctor.

As far as I know, there's no restriction on which food you could eat. Your doctor should have given you anti-viral treatment for the chickenpox. If ice relieves the itch, then it should be alright.
