Yes. We are lucky to not know how devastating M M or R could be. Vaccines are safe (talk to your doctor) - just be sure your child is healthy when receiving them and everything will be fine.

The chickenpox vaccine is newer. I chose to give it to my son so that he wouldn't have to endure chickenpox, and more importantly so he wouldn't have to possibly suffer bouts of shingles later on. If you've never had chickenpox, you are not susceptible to shingles. That was my main reason.

NO. I am not a fanatic, oor one of those that don't believe in Vax. I waited because I just don't know and no one can tell me what is really safe. All dr's are taught that the schedule is safe. Use your mom instincts, and if you're asking, you're doubting.

We were fired from our pediatrician for not following the schedule. We had to look really far and drive an hour to find a doctor who will let us make our own schedule. We choose 2 vaccines each time one is needed, and come in a month later for the other 2 or whatever.

I have 2 kids - neither have the MMR yet. I will wait until 4 or 5.

MMR yes, Varicella not yet. no rush on varicella, it's a live virus, want to wait til a good time.

MMR is important, measles causes quite a bit of suffering for the unfortunate kids who get it. if u travel abroad your child can have an increased risk of measles, not prevalent the US, but still alive and well in some other countries.

No. My pediatrician recommended waiting until the 18 month checkup for the MMR shot...he does this for all his patients. My son also did not get the chickenpox shot since he has already had the chickenpox.
