how long does chicken pox last in an healthy 75th centile 10 month old?He has had it for almost three weeks,mother pox week 1, rash week 2 & 3. I thought they were drying out nicely, until I discovered a new batch in genital area!!!!

are you sure it's chicken pox? did he not get immunized for it?

My son had chicken pox at 10 months old, they lasted about 3-4 weeks until all the spots had dried, They're not drying out down below because the nappy/diaper keeps them moist, thats the place my sons lasted the longest... Try to keep his nappy off for a while with the calimile lotion on him... do this for like a few hours everyday (i did it for an hour in the morning and then an hour after his bedtime baths), I put towels all around the floor so if he had an accident it'd be ok... His down below area dried up in 4-5 days xxx Hope your little darling gets rid of those nasty spots soon!! xxx
