PLEASE HELP ME!! my newborn and chicken pox....PLEASE!!?ok so my fiance has developed the shingles [which is caused from the chickenpox virus coming back from hiding in the nerve system due to emotional stress]
research says that its not contagious unless you havent had it before, and its especially contagious to babies who havent had it.
what should i do about this?
my daughter is only 5 weeks old and im FREAKING OUT!
please help?!

Watch her carefully, and if she develops a fever and rash, take her to the hospital.

tell your fiance to stay away from the baby and call the pediatrician. They might be able to tell you more what youc an do so the baby won't catch it.

call your doctor, maybe they can vacinate the infant. Keep her away from dad.

My daughter got the chicken pox when she was 8 months old and did great! I wouldn't worry too much there really isn't anything you can do if your fiance and the baby have been in contact (I assume you live together). Just keep a close watch on her. Good luck!
