Can a toddler that got the first chickenpox vaccine get the chickenpox?


Can a toddler that got the first chickenpox vaccine get the chickenpox?My child got red bumps on him . He didn't get too much heat today,and hasn't got exposer to any new foods? Can he of gotten
chicken pox?

when my kids got the vaccine, the nurse told me that they could still get a mild case of the chicken pox

so...give your ped a call

YES YES YES!!!!

Getting the vaccine poses risk to getting to Pox ... and getting a BAD case of them. Why people get their children the vaccine ... I dont know. Getting the Pox is acctually GOOD for your child.

yes, the vaccine will help build his system against chicken pox but many ppl still can have an outbreak but it will be a lot less severe. if your son is itching or in distress, it could be that or an allergy ask your peditrician.

Yes. Both of my kids received the chicken pox vaccine, and both of them wound up having the chickenpox several years later.
