Can you catch the swine flu more than once?My mother in law had the swine flu last week. She got rid of it and returned to work. Yesterday she felt sick again, just like she did with the swine flu.
I live in her house, and I didn't catch it last week... I plan on avoiding her this week too! lol
Is it possible to catch the swine flu more than once, or is it like the chicken pox (one time and you're done)?

what your mother in law did was return to work too soon and so she suffered a relapse. She didn't get it twice, she never got rid of it the first time. H1N1 lasts a good two weeks, and a great many people are finding that they do relapse and are sicker than they were to begin with if they try to become active too soon.
Once you have had H1N1, and are fully recovered, you cannot get H1N1 again.....of course there are still a hundred other flu bugs you can still get.
