Can you get chicken pox twice or only once?please help

They say you can only get it once, however my son had them twice, when he was about 10 months and again when he was about 2.

No, once you have had chicken pox it is highly unlikely you would get it again. However, the virus stays in your body LONG after you have had the illness. It can become "active" again later in life and cause the viral infection called, "shingles." For some people, shingles can occur over and over again throughout their lives.
