Chicken pox rashes appeared 5 days after sunbathing?

Chicken pox rashes appeared 5 days after sunbathing?I went tanning last Sunday, May 13 and then found out that I have chicken pox Friday, May 18. I know the sunbathing did not cause the rashes and I also know that I already had the virus in my system weeks ago. I'm just wondering why the rashes were exactly on the skin that was tanned when I went sunbathing. The part of my chest that was covered with my bikini top had barely rashes on it compared to the abundant rashes I had on the tanned skin. Can someone explain this? Appreciate your responses. Thanks!

Is it definitely chicken pox? Might be a heat rash - these can blister and itch too. Otherwise I guess the sun has irritated the already inflamed skin and just makes it look worse than the untanned areas. Either way, calamine lotion will ease the symptoms.

I had chicken pox as an adult and the rash distributes itself unevenly. I also found that exposed skin had more than unexposed. One word of advice. Stay away from the sun for weeks. Otherwise the rash, if you have it on your face and arms, will leave permanent spots. And of course, never scratch it.

sun exposure intensifys the breakout of any of the herpes virus family. anywhere that the sun exposed your skin the rash will be worse.. If you take a hot bath you will break out even worse. take benedryl and calamine lotion and good luck!
