Chicken Pox and Pregnant?My sister in law's daughter may have chicken pox. My sister in Law is 25 weeks pregnant , She has had chicken pox twice and the immunazation. Her daughter is going on 2 and has had her shots. If her daughter does have chicken pox would it be a hazard to the unborn baby?

Mom's antibodies should protect the baby from getting the infection. If you are still worried have her call her ob/gyn.

If the mother has had it twice, chances are that she is immune to it, and the antibodies should protect the child inside. I understand why you would ask that because pregnant omen are not allowed to be around anything or do anything! Good Luck! Don't worry!
