Hi there,
I actually caught chickenpox from someone who had shingles. Since your daughter already had chickenpox, she should be okay. Shingles comes from the chickenpox virus that is in your body, so you can't give shingles to someone else---you can only give chickenpox to someone who's never had them. So if your other daughter didn't have chickenpox, you may give them to her if you're still contagious this weekend.

As long as they are not open and weeping, you'll be fine. Just avoid any direct contact of the blisters with any of the family. If they begin to weep then it becomes contagious and will be better for your girls to avoid you until you are medicated. Usually Valtrex for 2-3 weeks works great and use Capsacin cream on the blisters-burns at first but will dry them up quickly.
Get the facts on the chickenpox vaccine, treatment, causes (varicella zoster virus, VZV), symptoms and signs (itchy, red rash).
