Is taking the maximum dosage of ibuprofen per day alright for about a week?

Is taking the maximum dosage of ibuprofen per day alright for about a week?I've recently come down with a strain of varicella zoster (chicken pox in layman's terms) - I feel fine, no headache, and the spots don't really itch, but one thing is bothering me - my throat hurts, most likely because of blisters in my throat caused by the pox, which I've read is completely normal. I've taken the maximum dosage of ibuprofen for my throat today; three 200mg tablets this morning, two this evening. I'm probably going to be out for the next few days or so with the same thing, so I'm wondering; will taking the max otc dosage of ibuprofen have any negative effects if I take it every day for about a week? I'm a teen, about 120lbs, if that affects anything.

max dose is 2400mg or 800mg three times a day, or every 8 hrs with food. A week is ok. Take with food, please. Try soft diet, cool foods, liquids, milkshakes, etc. or apply cold pack to throat/neck. It can affect bleeding times, liver and kidney function if used for long periods of time . A week is ok.

You can take Ibuprofen for seven days to relieve any pain and inflammation secondary to your chicken pox. You may also alternate Ibuprofen with Tylenol, again, being careful with the maximum dosage every 24 hours.
