What could be the consequences of eradicating a disease?Besides the human benefit of course, what could happen if we suddenly eradicate chickenpox, measles, polio, etc?
I'm not saying it's totally possible. I'm just saying what if?

There is no "downside" or eradicating infectious disease

There would be a lot less sick people in the world. The pharmaceutical companies would not be getting so rich. And there would be a lot less people having to live off of disability paid out by the government.
Just think if the pharmaceutical companies didn't need to put out so many vaccines and drugs, they would not rule the government health care system because their business is so lucrative!
Without the drug companies in control of so much of our world we might be able to afford what health care we really need!
It might cut down on the insurance company and medical field jobs and put a lot more people back in the work force.
Get the facts on the chickenpox vaccine, treatment, causes (varicella zoster virus, VZV), symptoms and signs (itchy, red rash).
