Will chicken pox go away by itself?

Will chicken pox go away by itself?I've had the chicken pox for about 3 days, and I'm wondering if I can just leave it alone instead of using lotion and taking oatmeal baths. Will it still go away? And how long do you think it would take? I'm 12 years old.

And is there any home remedies that could help it? Besides oatmeal baths and lotions.
Also, I DID get the vaccine. So I'm not sure why I have the chicken pox.

I'm wondering why you didn't have the chicken pox vaccine. Anyway, yes, it goes away all by itself but it itches. The oatmeal baths are for the itching. The lotions are for the itching. Calamine lotion helps. If you scratch them, they will scar. Otherwise they will go away pretty soon.

yes it will but while the sores are open you are infectious. It should take about 10 to 15 days. Nope on the home remidies.

Well if you can endure the itch, pain or fever, then you can wait and not take anything. If you want to be comfortable, take paracetamol(Panadol),Anti-itch tablet, apply Calamine lotion. Its a viral disease,It should dry up in 2 weeks if you look after it.Just remember it is most infectious when the scabs are coming off.Rest at home till then.
