You are a supposed adult with a 3 year old and another one on the way and you don't KNOW if there is chicken pox vaccine in the UK?? Time to act like a responsible adult and find out for crying out loud.

You should definitely let your Dr. know! My daughter got them at age 27 when her three children had them. She had 104 temp etc. They have in the US something that you can take to make them less severe if you take it in the beginning. Good luck!

Definitely talk to your doctor about it. It can be dangerous for an expectant mother to have chickenpox.

Talk to your obstetrician. Chickenpox is airborne and easy to catch, and your doctor may be able to give you a shot to boost immunity even after exposure.

It is a good thing for your daughter to contract chicken pox at this age as it is alot more dangerous when she is older to get it for the first time. Pregnant women should be exsp carefull to avoid chicken pox as this has many negative effects of the fetus and can lead to scary outcomes ( stillbirth etc). It is usually routine for the doctor to screen the mothers blod for antibodies to chicken pox prenatally. If you do not have antibodies, vacines are availiable as preventative measures. Adults who get chicken pox experience extreme symptoms and is very dangerous. I would go talk to your doctor right away about it before your daughter gets infected. Best of luck
Get the facts on the chickenpox vaccine, treatment, causes (varicella zoster virus, VZV), symptoms and signs (itchy, red rash).
