Can one person spread chicken pox if he is not affected by it, but somebody in his family is have it?

Answer by rojauno
I'm not sure about that, but if you have had them before you may get it again. It remains dormant, until you come in contact with an infected individual. And if you had them as an adult you are prone to get shingles.

Yes, if that person is in direct contact with the infected person. Even if he/she already had it, he/she can still be a carrier.

The way to avoid spreading chicken pox is through proper hygiene and disinfection after having contact with the infected person.

Yes.

1 - he might have a very mild case of it, and mild cases are just as contagious even with out the rash.

2- He might be becoming sick with it ... and it's contagious before the spots show up.

3 - Less common, he could carry they virus particles on his hands and clothes ... really rare
