Chicken pox question?


Chicken pox question?So i was wondering, i got the chicken pox vaccine when i was a baby (14 years ago) i am going to my cousins and she had them she is 7. am i at risk of getting them since i got that shot so long ago?

i would say there is a extremly high chance of you at risk in fact im certain. it is estimated that a the chicken pox vaccine lasts 6 years

NOPE! You'll still get it, just not as bad. The reason you get it is so the symptoms are not as bad and there's a less chance of getting shingles later. My mom MADE me get chicken pox when an outbreak hit my school a long time ago. I was to take care of my sisters and put calomine lotion on them.
Most parents even have a chicken pox party to get other kids sick. Reason being, you only can get it once after that your immune to it, if you get it when you're older, that vaccine is useless and you can die from it.

It is very unlikely. There is still plenty of wild-type chickpox around, providing a source of natural boosters that should keep your immunity up and you protected.
