how long for spots to be non contagious? My 3yr old developed Chicken pox spots on Monday however they are drying out as fast as they are appearing i have put the lotion on them and seem to be helping.... how long until they are no longer contagious? i know they are still infectious to the touch but its the contagious thing i am asking about thanks in advance

Yes he's still contagious if he got them Monday.
Blisters take 2-3 days to form scabs. The average duration of the whole illness in children is 7-10 days,(it is longer in adults.)
So I'd say he's down until next Monday at the earliest.

Get the facts on the chickenpox vaccine, treatment, causes (varicella zoster virus, VZV), symptoms and signs (itchy, red rash).
