my son has red itchy bumps..could it be chicken pox or something else?my 2 year old son has started to get red itchey bumps on his inner thys on his diaper line. they've spread down his legs and starting to go up his stomach. are they the chicken pox or could it be something else?

Sounds like the urine is causing irritation or maybe his diaper.
Try cloth diapers and use Balmax on Every diaper change and put it on thick.
Also make suer he gets a bath each night.
If it bothers him or doesn't get any better, take him the doctor.

When chickenpox starts, the child will have a fever (and feel horrible with body aches and stomach pain) for 24 to 48 hours before the rash appears. The rash itself starts as a fine spot that slightly raises after a few hours and over the next 12 - 24 hours will turn into a clear blister. These blisters will crust over in a few days. If your son's rash (and behavior) doesn't fit what I have described, then it is something else.
An itchy rash that starts in the diaper area may be a yeast rash or an allergic rash caused by the diaper. A yeast rash usually has a "odor" associated with it. You would need to get a prescription for Nystatin cream for the yeast rash. Have you changed brands of diapers, that may be a clue to look for an allergic rash.

to be honest you would be better off going to doctor could be something as simple as a nappy rash or could be chicken pox or anything just go to a doctor and get some professional advice you wont find answer your looking for on here

If it is spreading - you need to have it looked at by his doctor.
Get the facts on the chickenpox vaccine, treatment, causes (varicella zoster virus, VZV), symptoms and signs (itchy, red rash).
